Accident repair and full mechanical maintenance for business fleets — two workshops, one address, one point of contact.
A fleet vehicle standing in a workshop is not a vehicle earning. Every process at AutoStar is built to shorten the number of days it stands there.
AutoStar SA has repaired and maintained business fleets from Wynberg, Sandton since 2015. We are not a retail panel shop that happens to take fleet work — fleet is what the business is built around.
Accident repair and scheduled mechanical maintenance run on the same site, under one management team. A vehicle does not get handed between a panel shop and a service agent, and you do not manage two suppliers, two estimates and two collection dates for the same asset.
Most fleets split accident damage and scheduled maintenance across two suppliers. AutoStar runs both in-house, which removes a handover, a transport leg and a set of days from every job.
Structural and cosmetic accident repair carried out to manufacturer specification, using OEM-prescribed equipment, jigs and repair methods.
Graded by SAMBRA as a full structural repairer — the grading that permits work on a vehicle's load-bearing structure, not just its panels.
Full fleet maintenance and mechanical repair — scheduled servicing through to diagnostic fault-finding and component replacement.
Graded 5-star under the RMI / MIWA programme, which independently assesses tooling and diagnostic equipment, facilities, health and safety compliance and administration systems.
Manufacturer approval is not a badge — it is the reason a repaired fleet vehicle keeps its factory warranty and holds its value at disposal. Our body shop is approved by ten manufacturers.

The highest structural category in the South African motor body repair grading scheme. It certifies that the workshop's equipment, technician competence and process control meet the standard required to repair a vehicle's load-bearing structure.
Independently graded on tooling and diagnostic equipment, business facilities, occupational health and safety compliance, housekeeping and administration systems. Re-assessed on an ongoing basis. RMI membership AC-MI1007614.
A service plan fixes the maintenance cost per vehicle, insulating the fleet budget from parts and labour increases. It also drives service-interval reminders so a vehicle is never run past its due date, and produces a documented service history that supports resale value at disposal.
Parts hold-ups are the most common cause of a vehicle standing longer than quoted. We buy across both OEM and quality aftermarket channels and hold common fleet-vehicle parts in stock, so routine jobs are not waiting on a supplier.
Every vehicle is banded at estimate stage so you can plan around it. The band goes on the estimate, and you are told immediately if anything moves it.
Twenty-five qualified technicians and throughput capacity of 120 vehicles a month. A band only means something if the workshop has the capacity behind it.
A comeback costs a fleet two sets of downtime. Every vehicle goes through a final inspection bay and a road test before release.
If a hidden-damage find or a parts delay pushes a vehicle out of its band, you hear it when we find it — not on the day the driver arrives to collect.
Fleet controllers are updated at each stage, so a vehicle's return date can be planned into the schedule instead of chased by phone.
Being on an insurer's approved panel means the claim runs between us and the insurer directly — assessment, authorisation and settlement — instead of through your fleet office.

Further insurer approvals in progress
Assessor-ready estimates in the format the insurer expects, authorisation handled between workshop and insurer, and no back-and-forth while a vehicle stands.
Fleets are rarely insured with one company. Because we sit on several panels, a mixed book can still route every vehicle to the same workshop.
Below-excess damage, wear items and scheduled maintenance are quoted and invoiced directly, on the same turnaround bands and to the same standard.
Delivery and courier fleets, hygiene and security operations, car rental, staffing, long-haul furniture logistics — the common thread is a vehicle that has to be working tomorrow.

Send us your vehicle list and we will come back with turnaround bands by repair type and a service plan cost per unit — no obligation.
