01Who we are

Downtime is the only
number that matters

A fleet vehicle standing in a workshop is not a vehicle earning. Every process at AutoStar is built to shorten the number of days it stands there.

AutoStar SA has repaired and maintained business fleets from Wynberg, Sandton since 2015. We are not a retail panel shop that happens to take fleet work — fleet is what the business is built around.

Accident repair and scheduled mechanical maintenance run on the same site, under one management team. A vehicle does not get handed between a panel shop and a service agent, and you do not manage two suppliers, two estimates and two collection dates for the same asset.

What fleet clients get
  • One booking channel for body and mechanical work
  • Committed turnaround bands, quoted up front
  • Stage-by-stage progress updates on every repair
  • Repairs to factory specification, protecting warranty and resale
  • Claims handled directly with the major insurers
02Capability

Two workshops.
One address.

Most fleets split accident damage and scheduled maintenance across two suppliers. AutoStar runs both in-house, which removes a handover, a transport leg and a set of days from every job.

Collision

Factory-approved
body shop

  • Full structural and chassis repair
  • Panel beating and alignment
  • Pressurised spray booth, 3-phase filtered air feed
  • Coded colour matching to the manufacturer's formula
  • 60 °C bake cure and finishing
Mechanical

5-star graded
RMI workshop

Full fleet maintenance and mechanical repair — scheduled servicing through to diagnostic fault-finding and component replacement.

Graded 5-star under the RMI / MIWA programme, which independently assesses tooling and diagnostic equipment, facilities, health and safety compliance and administration systems.

  • Major and minor scheduled servicing
  • Diagnostics and electronic fault-finding
  • Brakes, shocks and suspension
  • Tyres and wheel alignment
  • Fleet service plans and interval reminders

Approved where it counts

Fleet service plans

A service plan fixes the maintenance cost per vehicle, insulating the fleet budget from parts and labour increases. It also drives service-interval reminders so a vehicle is never run past its due date, and produces a documented service history that supports resale value at disposal.

Parts availability

Parts hold-ups are the most common cause of a vehicle standing longer than quoted. We buy across both OEM and quality aftermarket channels and hold common fleet-vehicle parts in stock, so routine jobs are not waiting on a supplier.

05Turnaround

We quote days, not “soon”

Every vehicle is banded at estimate stage so you can plan around it. The band goes on the estimate, and you are told immediately if anything moves it.

Capacity that holds the band

Twenty-five qualified technicians and throughput capacity of 120 vehicles a month. A band only means something if the workshop has the capacity behind it.

Right the first time

A comeback costs a fleet two sets of downtime. Every vehicle goes through a final inspection bay and a road test before release.

Told early if it moves

If a hidden-damage find or a parts delay pushes a vehicle out of its band, you hear it when we find it — not on the day the driver arrives to collect.

Stage progress communication

You always know where the vehicle is

01Estimate sent
02Estimate approved
03Repair in progress
04Repair complete

Fleet controllers are updated at each stage, so a vehicle's return date can be planned into the schedule instead of chased by phone.

06Insurance

Approved by some of South
Africa’s leading insurers

Being on an insurer's approved panel means the claim runs between us and the insurer directly — assessment, authorisation and settlement — instead of through your fleet office.

What it removes from your desk

Assessor-ready estimates in the format the insurer expects, authorisation handled between workshop and insurer, and no back-and-forth while a vehicle stands.

One workshop across the panel

Fleets are rarely insured with one company. Because we sit on several panels, a mixed book can still route every vehicle to the same workshop.

Insured and non-insured work

Below-excess damage, wear items and scheduled maintenance are quoted and invoiced directly, on the same turnaround bands and to the same standard.
